I’ve been drawing since I was in elementary school, starting from the usual crayon markings on the bedroom wall, to doodles of my own Pokemon, to mimicking pictures of Dragonball Z characters.
My interest in art picked up when I started taking drawing classes in high school, where I learned that it can be an optional career to pursue. From there I went to the Art Institute of California – Los Angeles as a Video Game Art major, where I learned traditional shading, typography, and color theory. I also picked up on computer programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Flash, which is probably what the school’s main focus is because as I progressed through the years, 3D modeling and computer design in general became more of a chore than a passion. So I decided to leave and pursue a more traditional route.
I am currently doing designs for clients and friends, as well as improving my skills by learning the old-fashion way: drawing everyday. I’ve done everything, from graffiti to painting canvases, but the world of Art is still full of unmarked territory for me.
My main poison is the simple pen and paper. By using a ball-point very, very lightly, I’m able to sketch out a rough and complete the same design without a pencil.
My journey continues as I learn new mediums and meet new people, and I thank you for being a part of it.
